Finally got back to Pegasus. We got the bulkheads glued in and the mast king strut fabricated. Next step is the seat stringers and the tanks.
The king strut isn't glued in yet but it fits and so does the mast tube.

Blair Owed Fletcher Marine and made many boats for the Moth fleets of Southern NJ. I sailed against these boats with a Cates design by Carl Patterson. I built my Cates at Pattersons' shop around the same time this boat was under construction. This picture was taken September 1965. It's me in my Patterson Cates.

Back on track
The weather and other things kept me out of the shed for a few weeks. We're back in business with the fitting of the aft bulkhead. I made a template from scrap and then filled in the gaps with small squares with the proper cutout that spans the stringers. Also made the inner seat rails. I split a 1x down middle and glued it back together while clamped to the outside of the shear.
This is the fwd bulkhead thort. I made it from strips of pine.
