On the forms

Got all the forms cut out and installed in the proper location.  I had to modify the top of two because they hit the mast step and the bow stem.  Not going to remove those parts as they are part of the keel.
Rear view.  The braces will support the side rails of the boat.

I put the boat on the forms and it fit like a glove.  It's about 3/4 of an inch off but that is because the forms don't have any notches in them to take the stringers.  I'm impressed.   They built this boat mostly to the plans.

We're going to have to make all new stringers so the next step is to make the transom and take the bow planks off the boat to get a better fit for those stringers.   Also go to make the side rails.

Fitting to the gig.

                                                                 New transom wood.
Inside of the bow.  We are going to try and use the stringers.

Another Fletcher Cates!

This is Pegasus the 1963 International Moth Championship boat owned and sailed by Bill Schill.

Bill passed a few years ago and his widow gave the boat to George A.     We're going to bring her back to life.    This is the boat as it sat in Georges driveway.

In my boat shop.   I cut the tanks and transom off in one section.  I released the keel from the transom and it just slid off.

This is whats left!

 Old transom

 New transom.
