More bottom

Back in the day I built the boat  that is on the cover page of this blog.  It's a Patterson Cates. During the '50's and 60's  this was the moth boat to have.  Many variations of the "Cates" design were produced.  Patterson's boats were  different.  He has a twist no one else did.  He pulled the bow together in one sheet of ply.  All the other variations of Cates had 4  bow sections placed on a concave frame.  What Patterson did was make that section one piece and a convex shape.   That made the boats faster.  All was for nought as a boat came over from England called the Shelley.

What we did to Pegasus is recreate that bow shape.  It really looks good.  We also got the other bottom panel on.   Off the forms next week.
